CALL FOR ABSTRACT:
The Role of Local Communities in Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage within Heritage Ensembles and Monuments
ICOMOS Italy and the International Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICICH), in collaboration with Centro Universitario Europeo per i Beni Culturali, organise a symposium which will highlight how communities safeguard and revitalise intangible cultural heritage associated with monuments and ensembles, ensuring resilience and sustainable futures.
Submitted papers must address one of the following themes:
The ICOMOS Charter on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Monuments (2024)
Intangible heritage as a driver of identity, creativity, resilience, and development
The recovery and valorization of intangible cultural heritage as a pathway for intercultural dialogue in the face of conflicts and global threats
The role of professionals, community leaders, and experts in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage.
