“The eighteenth edition of Ravello LAB – International Colloquia took place in Ravello from October 19th to 21st, 2023, focusing on the theme ‘The Words of Culture’.”

“Three intense days of work featuring cultural proposals capable of inviting people to listen and of making themselves heard:
committing the political agenda to the creation of a portal capable of connecting and guiding stakeholders within the supply chain
a national observatory for monitoring work and training
the recognition of skills and the importance of continuous training
the accreditation of cultural sites as places of training
the exhortation to keep channels of cultural relations open between individuals, peoples, and States, even when in conflict”

“The outcomes of the workshops were condensed into the ‘Recommendations’ presented to the Government and to public and private stakeholders.

“Ravello Lab 2023 was awarded the Medal of the President of the Republic, the prestigious recognition already granted to the five previous editions.
The event was promoted by the partnership comprising the European University Centre for Cultural Heritage of Ravello, Federculture, and the Foundation School for Cultural Heritage and Activities. The initiative received support from: the Campania Region, Fondazione Banco di Napoli, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio Salernitana, Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, and the Ministry of Culture (Circular 108).
It also benefited from the patronage of the Secretariat General of the Council of Europe, the Ministry of Culture (MiC), ANCI, the Conference of Regions, the Campania Region, UPI, the Province of Salerno, UNIONCAMERE, the Municipality of Ravello, and Fondazione Ravello.
Each edition of Ravello Lab enjoys significant media coverage thanks to an ad hoc press office and qualified media partnerships.
The proceedings of the plenary sessions and those of the second panel were broadcast in live streaming by fad.fondazionescuolapatrimonio.it, while the first panel was available live on the Facebook page of the European Centre for Cultural Heritage, where it can still be accessed (https://www.facebook.com/Centro-Universitario-Europeo-per-i-Beni-Culturali-169944143173661).”

Issue number 54 of the CUEBC online journal ‘TERRITORI DELLA CULTURA’ is dedicated to Ravello Lab 2023, and includes reflections and in-depth insights stemming from the discussions held in Ravello.”

There were around one hundred total participants, including 86 experts who provided their contribution to the inaugural session, the panels, and the concluding round table, 10 of whom attended remotely (via ZOOM). Additionally, 125 viewers registered on the FAD portal of the Foundation School for Cultural Heritage and Activities, and approximately 500 followers watched the Facebook live broadcast.”
