Towards a new paideia

Tools and methods for cultural policies

Towards a new paideia
in collaboration with ISS Marini Gioia in Amalfi and University of Salerno

Connecting schools with local cultural stakeholders and doing so by promoting dialogue with the University: an operation of extraordinary value to foster informed decision-making, while stimulating awareness of opportunities and the diversity of educational offerings. This is the goal that the European University Centre for Cultural Heritage, the IISS Marini Gioia in Amalfi, and the University of Salerno aim to achieve, suggestively capturing it in the title ‘Towards a New Paideia’—as if to indicate a high-quality educational method, an ideal pedagogical process that enables young students to practice ‘active citizenship’.

The meeting proceeded according to the following programme:

Welcome remarks by Alfonso Andria (President of CUEBC), Clementina Cantillo (President of SFI), Armando Bisogno (Director of DiSPaC), and Massimiliano Zembrino (Principal of IISS Marini-Gioia, Amalfi)
