Study, protection and enjoyment of cultural heritage

Attività

The protection of cultural heritage cannot be guaranteed without in-depth knowledge on the part of specialists and the involvement of the public—fostering its appreciation and safeguarding through intelligent strategies for dissemination and promotion. Once again, “dispersed heritage”—which requires not only protection but, above all, enhancement—demands special attention. The CUEBC has developed various initiatives to this end: alternative, often thematic, cultural itineraries to better distribute tourist flows; the revitalization of traditional crafts at risk of extinction to ensure the ongoing maintenance and restoration of historic buildings and artifacts; the training of managers capable of fully grasping the cultural and heritage dimensions—in all their nuances and implications—of the movable and immovable assets in their care; and the integrated conservation, or regeneration, of ancient artifacts. All of this aims to facilitate proper and effective public access and engagement, a strategic element for culture-led development.
