SOCIOECONOMIC STUDY

 The diagrams of the distribution on the groups of age show that the weight of active population is big and the young population is prevalent.

 The average number of the inhabitants/household is 2.80.

 The number of employees represents 43.78% from the total number of the inhabitants and 72.36% from the number of the inhabitants with age between 20 and 65 years.

 the analysis of the ethnic and religious composition indicates the presence of a majority consisting of Lipovans. Their weight is 75% from the total number of the inhabitants, the rest being Romanians.

 The main occupations of the inhabitants are fishing and land cultivation. The rural tourism is a relatively new occupation.

 The touristic offer (accommodation) reflects the promotion of the tourism for persons without many comfort pretensions.

 The public services are minimal.
