The aim of the project is to protect and develop sites, landscapes and cultural products of European relevance. This double objective will be achieved by improving knowledge of cultural heritage through an integration of past traditions and future prospects. The case studies are represented by four areas located in Europe where cultural heritage runs into the risk of being damaged by a superficial and aggressive use which impoverishes the local cultures and wears away the grounds for tourism and development economy. An alternative scenario will be put forward for each case study, and it will be presented to the local community and to the decision-makers as a possible solution to the problems and risks already perceived.
