The meeting represented the final stage of the first edition of the ‘Hunting for Hazards’ initiative, promoted by the Province of Salerno, during which the results achieved were presented. In particular, the conference provided an opportunity to present the results of a survey titled ‘The Perception of Hazards among High School Students in the Province of Salerno’. In order to obtain preliminary indications regarding the students’ perception of hazards and to encourage classroom reflection prior to implementing the educational initiative, a questionnaire was distributed to the schools. Subsequently, 1,925 completed questionnaires were processed. Among other questions, the students were asked to ‘estimate’ the probability level of various hazards, indicating values ranging from 1 to 10.
