Knowledge of Cultural Heritage
The gathering “Landscape in Painting” was organized in memory of Alfredo De Poi. His memory remains vivid among friends at the European University Centre for Cultural Heritage in Ravello—where he served as a founding member—and among all those privileged to work alongside him during his rigorous civic, cultural, political, and artistic endeavors. His dedication to the world of art, particularly contemporary painting, was evident in the exhibition of his own works and in his leadership of the “Pietro Vannucci” Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia, to the revitalization of which he had recently devoted himself with his characteristic passion. The Ravello Centre—established in part through the efforts of Alfredo De Poi, who was then President of the Italian Parliamentary Delegation to the Council of Europe—regarded him as a constant point of reference, benefiting greatly from his expert contributions to its governing bodies.
