“These initiatives focus—particularly from the perspective of conservation or restoration—on cultural heritage materials, which are subject to the wear and tear of time, atmospheric pollution, or, more recently, climate change. Indeed, in recent times, this line of activity has been able to leverage the results of training and research activities on the topic promoted by the Council of Europe, specifically through the EUR-OPA Agreement. These activities have generated a corpus of fundamental scientific publications aimed at defining new strategies for resilience and adaptation for cultural heritage in the face of climate change.”
