Regarding the natural heritage, the Costa Daurada offers great contrasts. We can find natural spaces of great beauty and general interest: in the south, the nature reserve of the Delta of Ebre and the national reserve of The Ports of Tortosa - Beseit, and in the west, the known Mountains of Prades. These two last spaces own big wooded masses where small and inhabited villages of great beauty live still together with the natural environment that surrounds them. Montsant, which contrasts with the former landscapes due to the lack of flora and fauna, is precisely situated between these two mountain ranges. Its landscape is characterized by a rocky look which is full of corners and picturesque hermitages. The interior plains discover a landscape of farming, especially of vineyard, among small and far villages surrounded by small hills filled by pines.
