Climate change, global change and cultural heritage
Call for application to the course, Ravello 7-10 October 2013
with the support of Europa Major Hazards - Council of Europe
in collaboration with CRSTRA, Scientific and Technical Centre on Arid Regions, Biskra-Algeria
The course will cover risks to Cultural Heritage from Climate and Global Change by elaborating the following issues:
1. Climate and Global Change impact
2. Vulnerability and Risk
3. Adaptation Strategies
The course will present the results of research from European and International projects and outline future perspectives on risks to heritage induced by climate and global change. This will enable appropriate adaptation strategies to be defined and validated at a policy level.
The Course is addressed to young advanced students and professionals. The lecturers belong to European Universities, National Research Centres and International Organisations. The entire Course will be held in English. There is no fee for participation.
On request, students may benefit of 3 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) after agreement with their own university.
The organisation has the possibility to support the participation of 20* students with a reimbursement of € 300 (at the maximum) of their participation expenses, after presentation of receipts. The selection for grant will be done by the organisers.
