Pursuing efficiently a mission of “cultural” service, however it is not enough to examine in depth knowledge concerning heritage. It is also necessary to hand it over to society, not as specialized knowledge, evidently, but as factor of enforcement of cultural identities, of creativity incentive, of promotion of sustainable human development. Culture as development factor becomes therefore the core sector of the Centre activity. In this sector the following activity lines are included: Historical environment and landscape and Risks and cultural heritage.
